The answer to my question is not here, what do I do?
My local newspaper doesn't publish a feature of yours. How can I get it in?
If you'd like to see your favorite feature from wellnessfeatures.com added to your local newspaper, check your paper for a mailing address, phone number or e-mail address, and send a request to the Features Editor. Editors want to create the best possible newspaper for their readers, so your input does make a difference.
I want a copy of a certain feature for my own personal use. Is this possible?
Send a letter or an e-mail with a brief explanation of how you intend to use the feature. Be sure to include the date of the feature, and a description of the feature. See our Contact page for address information.
I want to put a copy of a certain feature on my website. Is this ok?
Permission to reproduce our features on your website or corporate intranet is granted on a case-by-case basis. Fees and restrictions vary depending upon usage. For rates and availability, see our Contact page.
I want to put a copy of a certain feature in a publication. Is this ok?
To use a strip for a presentation, newsletter, book, memo, or any other type of distribution, you need permission from Wellness Features Syndicate. Permission is granted on a case-by-case basis. Send a letter with a brief explanation on how you intend to use the strip and include the date (located on the feature) and a description of the feature. Include the type of publication (or topic of presentation) and the circulation of the publication (or attendance number at presentation). If it's a book, include whether you are seeking world or North American rights and also whether you need us to supply the art (camera-ready proofs, electronic delivery, etc.).
Rates are based on the information above, depending on circulation. There are also special rates for high school and college students and non-profit organizations.
I want to link to your site. How can I do this?
Taking material from our website (or column companion websites) and displaying it on your website, web page, or intranet without our permission violates our copyrights. Please do not use any features, graphics, or text without our approval first. See our Contact page for appropriate address.
How does syndication work?
Syndicates commission and distribute features (columns, quizzes, and other features) to newspapers, newsletters, websites, intranets, and subsidiary venues around the world. See our About Us page to discover how we differ from other syndicates.
What is Wellness Features Syndicate?
See our About Us page for a description of our syndicate.
I would like to submit my idea for a feature to you. How can I do this?
Please see our Submission Guidelines page for a full explanation of requirements before submitting any ideas. We do not accept any telephone or email submissions.
How much do feature columnists make?
We pay our feature columnists the standard syndication royalty split: 50% of net proceeds from the sale of their feature.
I've written a cartoon, but I'm not an artist. Can I still submit my work?
Please see our Submission Guidelines page for a full explanation of requirements before submitting any ideas.
I have an idea for one article that I'd like to sell. Do you accept single articles?
Syndicates—typically— do not buy "one-shot" articles; they are in the business of selling recurring features over extended periods of time. You may want to check books such as Writer's Market for publications that accept individual articles.
